Question 333128
<font face="Garamond" size="+2">

If *[tex \Large P] is your profit AND *[tex \Large P\ =\ 6n\ -\ 250] AND you want the profit to be $500, then solve

*[tex \LARGE \ \ \ \ \ \ \ \ \ \ 6n\ -\ 250 =\ 500]

for *[tex \Large n]

It isn't a consideration for this particular problem, but if you ever do one of these where you end up with a fractional answer, round UP. If you round down you will just miss your desired profit amount, but if you round up you will have enough and a little more. For example, consider the same problem except that you are selling the items for $7 each. Try it for yourself.

*[tex \LARGE e^{i\pi} + 1 = 0]
My calculator said it, I believe it, that settles it
