Question 333120
<font face="Garamond" size="+2">

You don't bother to mention which of the angles in the triangle is the right angle. If it is the angle between the slide and the ladder, you get one answer, but if it is the angle between the ladder and the ground, that is an entirely different matter.

First way:

*[tex \LARGE \ \ \ \ \ \ \ \ \ \ x\ =\ \sqrt{22^2\ +\ 18^2}]

Second way:

*[tex \LARGE \ \ \ \ \ \ \ \ \ \ x\ =\ \sqrt{22^2\ -\ 18^2}]

Either way, you get to do your own arithmetic. Probably the first way though. The second way is a steeper slide than I would want to get on.

*[tex \LARGE e^{i\pi} + 1 = 0]
My calculator said it, I believe it, that settles it
