If so, note that if *[tex \Large \alpha] is a root of *[tex \Large ax^2\ +\ bx\ +\ c\ =\ 0], then *[tex \Large x\ -\ \alpha] is a factor of *[tex \Large ax^2\ +\ bx\ +\ c].


So use FOIL to multiply *[tex \Large (x\ -\ 2)(x\ -\ 5)] and then set the product equal to zero.
