Question 327248
<font face="Garamond" size="+2">

Since the age 2 years from now is what we want to find out, let *[tex \Large x] represent the age 2 years from now.

Two times the age two years from now is then *[tex \Large 2x]. The age 3 years from now has to be *[tex \Large x\ +\ 1] and three times that is *[tex \Large 3x\ +\ 3]. And age now has to be *[tex \Large x\ -\ 2]. Six times that is *[tex \Large 6x\ -\ 12]

So:

*[tex \LARGE \ \ \ \ \ \ \ \ \ \ 2x\ +\ 3x\ +\ 3\ =\ 6x\ -\ 12]

Just solve for *[tex \Large x].
