Question 326539
<font face="Garamond" size="+2">

I'm guessing that you mean *[tex \LARGE \log_b(t^8)]

And you want to apply the rule:

*[tex \LARGE \ \ \ \ \ \ \ \ \ \ \log_b(x^n)\ =\ n\log_b(x)]

to write *[tex \LARGE 8log_b(t)]

Use the underscore character to indicate subscripts, use parentheses to indicate what is included in the log argument, and use the caret mark to indicate raising to a power. So, to the extent I guessed your meaning correctly, you should have written log_b(t^8).
