Question 325374
I do not understand how to find the zeros of a function. The following is the problem that is giving me problems.If you could help I would be much appreciative.
f(x)=x^2+3x-10
-----------------
f(x)=x^2+3x-10
Find the values of x that make f(x) = 0
f(x)=x^2+3x-10 = 0
x^2+3x-10 = 0
This example can be factored.
(x + 5)*(x - 2) = 0
If the product is zero, one of the factors must be zero.
x + 5 = 0
x = -5
---------
x - 2 = 0
x = 2
