Question 322248
I'm trying to find a way that quadrati equations actually have practical day to day uses. But I'm struggling. For example, how can a quadratic equation help a basketball player make accurate free throws? Or help an engineer build an amusement park ride?
------------------------
I doubt math would help a basketball player. That's a motor skill.

The analysis of structures involves math, usually trig and algebra. The speed of the cars on a roller coaster can be a quadratic eqn, similar to calculating the path of a projectile.
