Yes, they would be similar.


They have the same shape but a different size with each corresponding side in direct proportion with the other.


It's easy to see in a triangle or a square because the sides are straight line.


It's a little more difficult to see in a font because it's harder to recognize a side since the shapes are not simple.  Letters and Numbers are more complex shapes.


You can see, however, that if you use the same font, only use a different size, that the shape of the letter is the same, only larger.


If the larger font is 2 times the smaller font, then the shape will be 2 times larger in direct proportional to the original shape.


This indicates that they are similar.


If the font could form a square or a triangle, you would see that the square and the triangle would be similar to each other (same angles and each side in direct proportion to its corresponding side in the larger figure).
