By the term 'square prism' I presume you mean a cube.  To the extent that is true, proceed thusly:  A cube has six identical faces.  Each face has an area that is equal to the measure of the cube's edge squared.  Hence, if the edge measures *[tex \LARGE e] units, then the surface area is *[tex \LARGE 6e^2]
