Question 318510
2x – 26 = 10
To solve for x, or whatever the variable is, get it on one side of the equal sign by itself.
You do the same thing to both sides of the equal sign.
2x – 26 = 10
Get the x on the left side. 1st, get rid of the 26 by adding 26 to both sides.
2x - 26 + 26 = 10 + 26
2x = 36
Then divide both sides by 2.
x = 18
--------  That's all.
------------------------
b – 2 = –6
Add 2 to both sides.
b = -4
-----------
3(y + 6) = 30
1st divide both sides by 3
--------------------
3x – 18 = 3

–7b = 21

–5p + 10 + 2p = –5

9n + 7 + 3n = 103

5x – 5 = 3x – 9

y – 5 = –8

2x + 16 = –6

6(y + 4) = 66

6x – 3 = 3x – 9

i need the awnser to ALL of these
i cannot figure out.
The purpose of these is to see how it's done, so you CAN figure it out.
