Question 37121
<pre><font size = 5><b>

                            3·log2(5x) = 12

Divide both sides by 3

                              log2(5x) = 4

Use the fact that equation

    logBA = C

is equivalent to the equation

       A = B<sup>C</sup>

                                   5x = 2<sup>4</sup>

                                   5x = 2·2·2·2

                                   5x = 16

                                    x = 16/5
