Question 313255
My book says that the solution to 10th root of 32 divided by 8th root of 4 results in the solution 4th root of 2 as a simplified answer. I don't know how this was arrived at.
-------------
[(32)^(1/10)] / [(4)^(1/8)]
----------
= [(2^5)^(1/10)] / [(2^2)^(1/8)]
----------
= [(2)^(1/2)] / [(2)^(1/4)]
----------
= 2^(1/4)
------------------------------------
Cheers,
Stan H.
