Question 312425
I'm not sure why(or even how) you'd use synthetic division to solve for P(-1)?
Why not just substitute -1 for x in the equation P(x)?
{{{P(x)=3x^5-2x^4+3x^2-2x-5 }}}
{{{P(-1)=3(-1)^5-2(-1)^4+3(-1)^2-2(-1)-5}}}
{{{P(-1)=-3-2+3+2-5}}}
{{{highlight_green(P(-1)=-5)}}}
