Question 307435
Let x= width
3x+2 = length

The formula for Perimeter is
2W + 2L  = P
2(x)+2(3x+2)=14
2x+6x+4=14
8x+4=14
8x=10
x=10/8=5/4 cm

Length = 3x+2
Length = 3(5/4)+2
Length = 15/4 +2 =15/4 + 8/4=23/4 cm

Check:  2W + 2L
2(5/4) + 2(23/4)=10/4 + 46/4= 56/4= 14 cm.  It checks!!
