Question 306901
<font face="Garamond" size="+2">

Just off the top of my head, I would say 150...but let's make sure.

Let *[tex \Large x] represent the number. Then *[tex \Large \frac{x}{2}] is half of the number and *[tex \Large \frac{x}{3}] is one-third of the number and we know that:

*[tex \LARGE \ \ \ \ \ \ \ \ \ \ \frac{x}{2}\ =\ \frac{x}{3} + 25]

Multiply everything by 6

*[tex \LARGE \ \ \ \ \ \ \ \ \ \ 3x\ =\ 2x\ +\ 150]

*[tex \LARGE \ \ \ \ \ \ \ \ \ \ x\ =\ 150]

Yep.
