Question 299587
Find the approximate value of the volume of the right circular cone with a circular base shown below.
the circular is 24cm and the height is 20
How do I find the right circular cone volume?
-----
I guess the circumference of the base is 24 cm
Solve 2(pi)r = 24 for "r":
r = 12/pi
---------------
Area of the base = (pi)r^2 = (pi)(12/(pi))^2 = 144/pi cm^2
----
Volume = (1/3)Bh
-----------------
= (1/3)(144/pi)*20 = 305.58 cm^3
