by this i take it you mean simplify?...if so, then multiply what you have by 1 ... is the fraction is still the same. However, my 1 is written as {{{((1+4i)/(1+4i))}}}


so, starting with {{{((2-3i)/(1-4i))}}}, we can write:


{{{((2-3i)/(1-4i))*((1+4i)/(1+4i))}}}. The reason for this is that the denominator can now be simplified into just a real number:


{{{((2+8i-3i-12i^2)/(1+4i-4i-16i^2))}}}
{{{((2+5i-12i^2)/(1-16i^2))}}}


since {{{i^2=-1}}}. we can write {{{((2+5i+12)/(1+16))}}}, which becomes {{{(14+5i)/17}}}
