Question 295840
<font face="Garamond" size="+2">

I'm going to presume you mean

*[tex \LARGE \ \ \ \ \ \ \ \ \ \ f(x)\ =\ 2\ -\ \sqrt{x\ +\ 1}]

But what do you mean by "how do you solve"? There is nothing to solve. This is just a function definition. If you want to know the value of the independent variable, *[tex \Large x], that produces a particular value of the function, *[tex \Large f(x)], you are going to have to share that particular value with us. If you want to graph the function, you should say so. Graphing the function is not "solving" anything.

So what is it you really want to do here?
