Question 293255
 solve by completing the square 3/8x^2 = 1/8 - x
Get 0 on one side: 3/8x^2 + x - 1/8 = 0
Divide both sides by 8 and then you get: 3x^2+8x-1 =0 *** Actually, you multiplied by 8, but good work.
------------------------------------
Then I make the coefficient of x^2 equal to 1, I divide both sides by 3, term by term.
Then I get x^2 + 8/3 - 1/3 = 0   *** 8x/3

This is where I get confused. I need help completing the square now. I know I square 1/2(8/3)^2 and thaat gives me a square and I add 16/9 to both sides.

-----------------
x^2 + 8x/3 - 1/3 = 0
{{{x^2 + (8/3)x = 1/3}}}  Move the coefficient to the right side
Then add ((8/3)/2)^2 to both sides
{{{x^2 + (8/3)x + 16/9 = 1/3 + 16/9}}}
{{{(x + 8/3)^2 = 25/9}}}
Can you take it from there?
