Question 34795
#1 equation: y=x+2
Find the y-intercept: Let x=0, then y=2 ; gives you point (0,2)
Find the x-intercept: Ley y=0, then x=-2; gives you point (-2,0)
Plot these two points and draw a line through them.
#2 equaion: y=2x+1
Find y-int: If x=0 then y= 1; giving point (0,1)
Find x-int: If y=0 then x=-1/2; giving point (-1/2, 0)
Plot these two points and draw a line through them.
If you use the same scale on the x and y axis and are
reasonably careful with your plotting you should be
able to see the x and y values of the point of intersection.
