Question 289566
Hello,
We can show this (X divided by X+5 and the other side as X divided by X+6)as the perimeter like this:
X/(X+5)+ X/(X+6)+X/(X+5)+X/(X+6) Let's get common denominators for these which will be:
X(X+6)/(X+5)(X+6)+ X(X+5)/(X+6)(X+5)+X(X+6)/(X+5)(X+6)+X(X+5)/(X+6)(X+5) Now we can expand these to look like this:
X^2+6X+X^2+5X+X^2+6X+X^2+5X/(X+5)(X+6) Combine like terms to get:
4X^2+22X/(X+5)(X+6)
There we go.
Make sense?
