Question 288298
A researcher calculates a t-test with a sample of 200 defense attorneys and the t-test yields a t value of –2.432.

Is this finding significant at a .05 critical region?
Are the results still significant if the researcher changes her critical region to .01?
-----
If I assume the test is left-tail, the p-value is tcdf(-100,-2.532 with df=199)
= 0.007 which is significant at the 5% and at the 1% level.
---
If I assume the test is two-tailed, the p-value is twice the previous,
or 2*0.007= 0.01559.. which is significant at the 5% but not the 1% level.
