Question 283375
I recently learned that some students have been led to believe that ^5 means square root of (5). It does not.
Usually we write sqrt(5) for square root of (5)
^ is used to indicate exponents such as 5^2 means 5 squared
5^(1/2) means square root of 5 but for a different reason

So if you were trying to say square root then this is one way to write it.
1. sqrt(1), sqrt(2), sqrt(3)
