Question 283100
Could someone please help with this two step question?
5x+x(x-2)=0
What are the solutions?
What are the x-intercepts?

5x+x(x-2) = 0
5x+x^2-2x = 0
x^2+3x = 0
x*(x+3) = 0

x=0 or x+3 = 0, so the solution are x =0 and x=-3.

The x-intercepts are the points (x,y) where values of x make y= 5x+x*(x-2) equal to 0. In this case that is (0,0) and (-3,0).
