Question 282019
<font face="Garamond" size="+2">

I <b><i>never, ever</i></b> use 3.14 for pie. I use apples, berries, custard, pumpkin, or one of a myriad of other ingredients along with a nice light flaky crust for pie. I use 3.14 for pi, that is to say *[tex \Large \pi], on occasion.

The volume of a sphere is given by:

*[tex \LARGE \ \ \ \ \ \ \ \ \ \ V\ =\ \frac{4}{3}\pi r^3]

Where *[tex \Large r] is the radius of the sphere and is equal to one-half of the diameter.

Half of the volume of a sphere would then be:

*[tex \LARGE \ \ \ \ \ \ \ \ \ \ V\ =\ \frac{2}{3}\pi r^3]

So, you need to calculate:

*[tex \LARGE \ \ \ \ \ \ \ \ \ \ V\ =\ \frac{2}{3}\left(3.14\right)\left(5\right)^3]

I'll let you handle the arithmetic. Don't forget to express your answer in cubic feet. I think I'll go have a nice piece of pie.
