Question 276106
i am supposed to show by counterexample that (x+y)^-2 and x^-2+y^-2 are not equivalent. i dont understand how to show this. please help
--------------------
Pick numbers for x and y see if it's true.
x = y = 1 is the easiest
(1+1)^-2 = 1/4
1^-2 + 1^-2 = 2
They're not equal, so it's disproven.
