A line with a slope of zero has the characteristic that ALL of the points included in the line have identical *[tex \Large y]-coordinates. So if you have a line with slope zero passing through *[tex \Large (a, b)], then the equation of the line would be:

*[tex \LARGE \ \ \ \ \ \ \ \ \ \ y\ =\ b]

Which is another way of saying: "Give me the set of ordered pairs such that the *[tex \Large y]-coordinate is the same value in every one of the ordered pairs, and I don't care what the *[tex \Large x]-coordinate is.
