Question 274051
In this series of numbers, you can conclude the pattern goes up one number, but is going backwards. (you might hit a negative number)
From 27 to 24, the difference is 3. From 24 to 20, the difference is 4. You keep noticing the pattern between each number. When you get to the end, 9 to 2, the difference equals 7, whereas the next number in following the pattern would be 8 (numbers backwards). If you draw a number line consisting of 1 through 10 on both the positive and negative sides, put a point marker on the positive 2 and go back 8 numbers you will land on -6. Or you can conclude that 2 + (-8) = -6
