Question 271817
 Please show me each step.
Subtract: (x - 2)/3x - (2x-1)/5x They say the answer is -x -7/15x. I say it is -x -7x/15x. Cannot see where they got just -7. .Thank you

We need to create a common denominator so we can add teh two expressions together: If we multiply the first by 5/5 = 1 and the second by 3/3 = 1 then we have:

(5*(x-2))/(5*3x) - (3*(2x-1))/(3*5x) =

(5x - 10)/15x - (6x-3)/15x =

(5x-6x-10+3)/15x =
(-x-7)/15x
