Question 271717
Mrs. Sanchez determines that her lawn contains an average of 3.8 grubs per square foot, If her rectangular lawn measures 60 ft. by 80.2 ft. estimate the total number of grubs in her lawn. P{lease show work. Thank you
not sure if this is considered an algebra problem.

The total number of grubs is the area (in square feet) of the lawn times the number of gubs per square foot.

The area of the lawn is 60*80.2 sq ft and the grubs per sq ft = 3.8 so:

total number of grubs =(60*80.2)*3.8
