Question 270328
Remember a couple rules
When you multiply, you add the exponent
When you divide, subtract the dividing exponent
Addition of logs is the same as multiply, subtraction is divide
;
a. x^2 * x^4 = {{{x^(2+4)}}} = {{{x^6}}}
:
b. z^8/z^12 = {{{z^(8-12)}}} = {{{z^-4}}}
The reciprocal gets rid of the neg so you have {{{1/z^4}}}
:
c. log4y + log4z = log(4y * 4z) = log(16yz)
:
d. log3y - log3z = {{{log((3y)/(3z))}}} = {{{log(y/z)}}}
