Question 262343
I'm solving horizontal curve where the radius is 4000m and the subtending angle is 19 degrees. I understand that the formula for CL is 2* Radius sin ( tetha/2). so is that 2*(4000m)sin 19 degrees from there how do i find the arc length S.
---------------
If I understand it, you're looking for the length of the arc subtended by a 19 deg angle, with a radius of 4000 meters.
That's 2*pi*r*(19/360)
=~ 663.225 meters
