Question 261958
The perimeter of a triangle is 130 inches. Two sides are the same length. The third side is 20 inches longer then the other two. Find the lenght of the shorter two sides.

Let x be the length of the two equal sides. Then the third side is x+20.

The perimeter then is x + x + (x+20) so:

x + x + (x+20) = 130
Solve the above for x.
