Question 259618
Hello,
Let's have Sue's age be represented as "x".
Leah will then be shown as: x+6
John's age will be: (x+6)+5
Now we can put this into an equation as:
x + x+6 (x+6)+5 = 41 Combine like terms to give us:
3x+17=41 Subtract 17 from both sides to be:
3x=24 Divide both sides by 3 results in:
x=8
Therefore we know Sue is 8 yrs old and Leah is 14 and John is 19. See if it adds up to 41?
