Question 255949
Please help me!! And can you please show me how you did it?!?!
Find the horizontal asymptote of f(x)=1/(x^2-16)
------
1st: find the highest power of the variable.
It may be in the numerator or in the denominator.
---
In your problem that is is x^2
----
The numerator of your problem has zero x^2
The denominator of your problem has one x^2
--------------------
2nd: The horizontal asymptote is y = 0/1 or y = 0
===================================================
If you graph your problem you will see that the
horizontal asymptote is y = 0
{{{graph(400,300,-20,20,-2,2,1/(x^2-16))}}}
