What makes you think that the set of individuals who attend a particular folk festival are a representative sample of Americans?  If it were an American folk festival, all you might possibly be able to deduce is that you have an indication of the opinion of Americans who enjoy folk festivals -- which could very well be different than the opinion of Americans in general.  On the other hand, it could be a Croatian folk festival held in the outskirts of Zagreb.  "Objection:  Assumes facts not in evidence."  "Sustained"
