Question 254954
divide.
(18x^2 - 63x + 81) / 9

Think of your problem like this:

{{{18x^2/9}}} = {{{2x^2}}}

{{{(-63x)/9}}} = {{{-7x}}}

{{{81/9}}} = {{{9}}}

So you have:    {{{(2x^2 - 7x + 9)}}}

Now if you are strictly dividing, the above answer is fine. However, if you are dividing everything by 9 as a factoring problem, you have to write the problem this way: {{{9(2x^2 - 7x + 9)}}}. <---This shows that you are factoring 9 out of the entire equation.

I hope this helps.
