Question 254760
Bob spins 2 spinners; one of which is labelled 1, 2, 3, and the other is labelled A, B, C and D.
---
Note: Spinner results are independent.
---------------------
Given that all the outcomes are equally likely, find the probability that:
a) the spinner stops at "2" and "C"
P(2 and C) = P(2)*P(C) = 1/3 * 1/4 = 1/12
---------------------------------------------

b) the spinner stops at "3" and either "B" or "D"
P(3 and (B or D)) = P(3) * P(B or D) = 1/3 * 2/4 = 1/6
-----------------------------------------------

c) the spinners stop at "A" and any number
P(A and any number) = P(A)*P(any number) = (1/4)*1 = 1/4
-----------------------------------------------
