Question 254145
I can do this, but I don't want to get involved with god.
---------------
{{{ 5/(y+2) - 2y/(4-y^2) = 3/(y-2)}}}
Get things lined up better to avoid confusion
-------------------
{{{ 5/(2+y) - 2y/(4-y^2) = -3/(2-y)}}}
Multiply thru by (4-y^2)
{{{5*(2-y) - 2y = -3*(y+2)}}}
10-5y - 2y = -3y-6
10-7y = -3y-6
16 = 4y
y = 4
-------
Check:
5/6 - 8/(-12) =? 3/2
5/6 + 4/6 = 9/6 = 3/2, so it's correct.
