Question 253095
Ok, you start off with {{{5(2)^x-3=7.6}}}
add 3 to both sides
{{{5(2)^x=10.6}}}
divide both sides by 5
{{{2^x=2.12}}}
take log base 2 of both sides
{{{log (base 2) of 2^x = log (base 2) of 2.12}}}
by using properties of logarithms, the left side will just be x.
Use the change of base formula on the right and you get {{{(log 2.12)/(log 2)}}}
Using a calculator, I get x=1.0841
