Question 31826
x^2+8x+16.. ..........here x^2 means x squared..
We can solve it with two methods and these two methods are as follows..

First method:-
x^2+8x+16
It can also be written as ..

= (x)^2 + 2(x)4) + (4)^2

Here we apply the formula i.e (a)^2 + 2(a)(b)+ (b)^2 = (a+b)^2....
and here a = x ,,,b = 4....and we get..
= (x+4)^2

Second method:-
x^2+8x+16
Here you must know how we make factors i.e. splitting of the middle term...if you might not knew then contact me again and I will explain to you...we get...

= x^2+( 4 + 4)x + 16

on opening the brackets we get...

= x^2+ 4x + 4x + 16

taking common from first two i.e. x^2+ 4x and last two i.e. + 4x + 16
variables...we get

= x(x+4) + 4(x+4)

= (x+4)(x+4)

or it can also be written as

= (x+4)^2

hope this will help you
