Question 31135
Is this eqn supposed to be {{{5/(3x-4) = -3/(1-2x)}}}, yes?
Then cross-multiply. Multiply the numerator on the lhs, 5, by the denominator on the rhs (1-2x) and multiply the numerator on the rhs, -3, by the denominator on the lhs, (3x-4). This gives
5(1-2x) = -3(3x-4)
expand the brackets,
5 - 10x = -9x + 12
5 - 12 = 10x - 9x
-7 = x
x = -7
