Question 247700
Find the third side of a triangle with sides of 19 m and 16 m and an included angle of 43.
the law of cosines reduces to this for the third side when you know two sides and the included angle.
c=sqrt(a^2+b^2-2abcos(angle))
c=sqrt(19^2+16^2-2(19)(16)cos(43))
which works out to
c=sqrt(617-608cos(43))
cos43=0.555113302
#4 The longest side of a triangle will always be opposite the largest angle and the smallest side will always be opposite the smallest angle.
#5 two sides are equal so two angles will be equal
