Question 4010

the formula for perimeter of rectangle = 2(l+w)
here let the length of the rectangle = x meters
So the width of the rectangle = {{{x/2}}}+1 (Given)
by applying the formula to get the perimeter
  = 2 * (x + ({{{x/2+1}}})) = 110 meters
  = 2 * (x + {{{x/2}}} + 1) = 110 meters
  = 2x + x + 2
  = 3x + 2 = 110 meters
  = 3x = 110 - 2 = 108 meters.
  = x = {{{108/3}}} = 36 meters
So the length = 36 meters
and the width = 19 meters (half of length + 1)

I hope it is clear to you
