Question 27503
My teacher taught me that an equation can be used into solve this. So...
when somethings like What is 20% of 344 just plug in these values:
What (number/percent)= x
is= equal sign
of= times

SO in this problem, x=.2(344)=68.8
Watch out for common sense, too. If you know that one tenth of 344 is 34.4, you'll know that 20 % can't be 1, 170, or any "off" numbers.

...
What percent of 255 is 15=225x=15 x=15. Move it 2 places, = 15%. In this case, You're saying how much this a small part (15) takes in a big part (225).
