Question 246120
Let x= first number
x+1= second number
x+2= third number

2(x+2)= x+x+1+3
2x+4=2x+4

This is an identity! This is a statement that is ALWAYS TRUE. If you try to solve for x, you will just get 0=0, which is also always true. Whenever this happens, it means that no matter what value of x you choose, the equation will always be true. In other words, this is a statement that is true no matter what values you use. The solution is ALL INTEGERS!!
