How do you know when an equation has infinitely many solutions? How do you know when an equation has no solution?

When you simplify the equation, if you end up with no variables
or unknowns and the resulting equation has only numbers in it, 
that is, no letters, then:

1.  If the resulting equation is true, such as 2 = 2 or 0 = 0
    or -7 = -7, etc. then the equation has infinitely many solutions.

2.  If the resulting equation is false, such as 2 = 3 or 7 = 5
    or -7 = 7, etc. then the equation has no solution.
