Question 242465
Would you know how to solve the problem if you were given two points? For example, could you find an equation of a line that passes through the points (42, 20) and (52, 10)?
m= change in y over the change in x
or
m={{{(20-10)/(42-52)}}}={{{-1}}}

Basically you find the slope between the two points, and then you have {{{y=mx+b}}} with a known slope. Then you can use one of your points, plug the numbers into the equation, and solve to find b.

So, 10=(-1)(52)+b  or b=62

Therefore, you can now substitute b into your equation and write your equation as {{{y=-x+62}}}
