Question 241634
Hello,
First off, we need a formula. We know that the distance is figured out by time multiplied by speed of the vehicle. So we can write the following (note: We'll let T be the time)
170 miles = T multiplied by 55 m/h Divide both sides by 55 give us:
170/55=T Reduce the fraction gives us:
3 1/11 hours is the time it takes. If the 1/11 needs to be in minutes then multiply the fraction times 60 since there are 60 minutes in an hour.
