Question 237397
<font face="Garamond" size="+2">

Not "should be", is.

Let *[tex \Large x\ =\ -5], then *[tex \Large y\ =\ -|(-5)\ +\ 4|\ =\ -|-1|\ =\ -1]

NOT +1. The absolute value of -1 is 1, the opposite of that is -1.

Let *[tex \Large x\ =\ -4], then *[tex \Large y\ =\ -|(-4)\ +\ 4|\ =\ -|0|\ =\ 0]

Let *[tex \Large x\ =\ -3], then *[tex \Large y\ =\ -|(-3)\ +\ 4|\ =\ -|1|\ =\ -1]

Looks like the beginnings of an inverted V to me.
